🔗 Share this article Vinted Members Share Displeasure About Size Updates Members of the platform have expressed outrage after an update resulted in listings displaying inaccurate size information. The popular resale platform has revised its sizing categories for female and kids' apparel without notifying all users about the change. Digital Channels Backlash Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms claiming that product pages now present a different size category than originally posted due to the recalibration. The company said the updated approach better aligns with similar services. The platform has recommended to review their products and update the measurements by hand when needed, which has left users frustrated. Measurement Approach Updates Previously, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L used to be a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. Member Stories One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. A different member, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed with size 14 tags were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they will likely be quite upset," she stated. Required Changes A different user, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed by the change as she had to manually change the sizes on "every single listing". "Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she stated. Platform Context The service features exceeding 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members. It has emerged as a preferred choice to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop. This represents another occasion that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, the service retracted a modification regarding delivery choices following member complaints.
