Intensive Moscow's Strikes Cut Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water systems, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in providing protection systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the city came under significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and three other people were injured.

The assaults come after evenings of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
